NickServ
REGISTER
Command: /msg NickServ REGISTER <password> <email-address>
Allows you to register your nickname with NickServ, making that specific nickname your personal nickname every time you connect to Gotham.
Entering a valid nickname is very important since you also will need to finalize your nickname registration through an email sent to you automatically from Gotham IRC Network containing an authorization code that would need to be entered in your IRC client.
IDENTIFY
Command: /msg NickServ IDENTIFY <password>
Allows you to identify your already registered nickname in order to gain access to channels where you are operator and any other services access.
You also may identify your registered nickname even if you aren’t using that nickname by typing /msg NickServ IDENTIFY <nickname> <password>
GHOST
Command: /msg NickServ GHOST <nickname> <password>
Allows you to disconnect another client that’s connected using your nickname.
GROUP
Command: /msg NickServ GROUP
Allows you to group a nickname to your user account. For example, if your nickname is Batman and you also would like to have a secondary nickname to use, you may simply change your nickname to the desired nickname, i.e: /nick darknight, and then /msg NickServ GROUP
UNGROUP
Command: /msg NickServ UNGROUP
The following command allows you to ungroup a nickname in case you have more than one nickname. You would need to be using the nickname that you would like to UNGROUP and then type: /msg NickServ UNGROUP
INFO
Command: /msg NickServ INFO <nickname>
The INFO feature displays information related to a specific nickname or to find out if a nickname is registered or not.
LISTCHANS
Command: /msg NickServ LISTCHANS
The following feature displays which channels you have access to.
RELEASE
Command: /msg NickServ RELEASE <nickname> <your-password>
Allows you to release an ENFORCED nickname. Someone who has attempted to use your nickname and have not identified within the 60 seconds time frame, services holds your nickname preventing the user from using it.
The following will prevent any user from using that nickname. You would need to type: /msg NickServ RELEASE <nickname> <your-password> and the following command will allow you to switch to your released nickname: /nick <nickname>
SENDPASS
Command: /msg NickServ SENDPASS <nickname>
SENDPASS is used in case a user has forgotten their nickname’s password. You will need to wait for an email from Gotham and follow the instructions.
ACC
Command: /msg NickServ ACC <nickname>
ACC returns a number from 0 to 3. That number determines the login status. Please note this information is found also in /whois <nickname>
0 – Account or user does not exist
1 – Account exists but user is not logged in
2 – User is not logged in but recognized (see ACCESS)
3 – User is logged in
If the account is omitted the user’s nick is used. Account * means the account the user is logged in with.

DROP
Command: /msg NickServ DROP <nickname> <your-password>
Allows you to drop your registered nickname, the following commands requires confirmation by email that will sent to the email address assigned to your account. Dropping your nickname will result the loss of any access you have to any channel, making your nickname available for someone else to register.
HELP
Command: /msg NickServ Help
Displays all NickServ commands available and their help documents from your IRC client.
LISTGROUPS
Command: /msg NickServ LISTGROUPS
Displays which groups you belong to, please refer to GroupServ or type /groupserv help in your IRC client.
LOGOUT
Command: /msg NickServ LOGOUT
Allows you to UN-IDENTIFY yourself, please note you need to identify to NickServ to gain access to any channels where you have @ access.
REGAIN
Command: /msg NickServ REGAIN <nickname> <your-password>
Allows you to regain your nickname if another user is using your registered nickname. Also note the ENFORCE option enables nickname protection where nicknames need to identify within a specific time range if not user’s nickname will change to Citizen012345.
This command should be rarely used since services ENABLE protection on your nickname by default unless you set it off.
SETPASS
Command: /msg NickServ SETPASS <nickname> <key> <password>
Allows you to set a new password using a key emailed to you. The key is valid for one time only, and also becomes invalid if you identify with your old password. This command should only be used after you have already received an email with the key.
STATUS
Command: /msg NickServ STATUS
Returns status of a nickname. (Account logged in to, IRC Operator, and Services if it applies).

VACATION
Command: /msg NickServ VACATION
The following option enables VACATION mode to your nickname where your nickname’s expiration will be extended to 180 days instead of 60 days to expire.
VERIFY
Command: /msg NickServ VERIFY <operation> <nickname> <key>
VERIFY allows you to confirm a change such as REGISTER and EMAILCHG. i.e: /msg NickServ VERIFY REGISTER Batman 102315 or /msg NickServ VERIFY EMAILCHG 102315
SET
Command: /msg NickServ SET ACCOUNTNAME <nickname>
Allows you to change your primary account name.
ACCOUNTNAME
Command: /msg NickServ SET ACCOUNTNAME <nickname>
Allows you to change your primary account name.
Command: /msg NickServ SET EMAIL <nickname>
SET EMAIL feature allows you to change the e-mail address associated to your account.
P.S: that works if you are already identified/logged in to NickServ.
EMAILMEMOS
Command: /msg NickServ SET EMAILMEMOS <ON/OFF>
The following option can be enabled or disabled, emailmemos is used if you want to receive memos to your email address associated to your account.
ENFORCE
Command: /msg NickServ SET ENFORCE <ON/OFF>
ENFORCE option allows extra security to your registered nickname, it will change their nickname to a Citizen01234 in case the user doesn’t identify to NickServ using the correct password within 60 seconds.
HIDEMAIL
Command: /msg NickServ SET HIDEMAIL <ON/OFF>
HideMail feature allows users to display or restrict their email address. With this feature turned on, users will be able to see the email address associated to your account using /msg NickServ info <nickname>. This feature is enabled automatically by services upon nickname registration.
NEVERGROUP
Command: /msg NickServ SET NEVERGROUP <ON/OFF>
Prevents your nickname/account to be added to groups. (Please type /msg GroupServ help in your IRC client, or look at the GroupServ section in this help document for more information about GroupServ).
NEVEROP
Command: /msg NickServ SET NEVEROP <ON/OFF>
Prevents other users from adding your nickname/account to their channel AOp/SOp list, or get assigned any flags (see FLAGS section or /msg ChanServ help FLAGS). NEVEROP would need to be disabled in order to be added to channel’s access lists.
NOGREET
Command: /msg NickServ SET NOGREET <ON/OFF>
Prevents your nickname/account from receiving channel Entry Messages from channels that has ENTRYMSG feature enabled. (Please see ChanServ ENTRYMSG feature or /msg chanserv help SET ENTRYMSG for more info).
NOMEMO
Command: /msg NickServ SET NOMEMO <ON/OFF>
This feature can be enabled/disabled depending on the user wanting to receive or not receive memos sent to you from other users.
NOOP
Command: /msg NickServ SET NOOP <ON/OFF>
NOOP feature prevents you from automatically gaining +o (@Operator) status by ChanServ in a channel where you have any access such as AOp/SOp upon entry. However, you would need to OP yourself manually to gain @Operator access using /msg ChanServ OP #channel <nickname>
PASSWORD
Command: /msg NickServ SET PASSWORD <newpassword>
SET PASSWORD command is used when you already know your existing nickname/account password and you would like to change it to something else, your current nickname must be identified to NickServ before using this command.
PRIVATE
Command: /msg NickServ SET PRIVATE <ON/OFF>
Setting the PRIVATE features makes some information non-visible to other users (except network’s staff). Such as: When nickname was registered & last seen address.
PRIVMSG
Command: /msg NickServ SET PRIVMSG <ON/OFF>
Setting PRIVMSG to ON basically allows responses from services (NickServ, Chanserv, MemoServ, etc..) through PRIVATE MESSAGE instead of NOTICE.
PROPERTY
Command: /msg NickServ SET PROPERTY <name> <value>
PROPERTY allows you to add additional information to your nickname/account that’s visible through /msg NickServ info <nickname>. The following feature is useful if you were to add a ‘URL’ attached to your nickname.
In this particular case of adding URL attached to your nickname, you would type /msg NickServ PROPERTY URL www.gotham.chat
PUBKEY
Command: /msg NickServ SET PUBKEY <pubkeyhere>
The following feature allows you to change the public key if you are identifying through SASL (please view SASL section). If no value is given after SET PUBKEY, the public key will be removed from services database.
QUIETCHG
Command: /msg NickServ SET QUIETCHG <ON/OFF>
Opt out from services notifications that affect your status in channels such as devoiced, deopped, etc..
