REQUEST
Command: /msg HostServ REQUEST <vhost>
REQUEST activation of the vHost. You must be identified to a registered nick to issue this command, and then type: /msg HostServ REQUEST your.vhost.goes.here
Please be patient while your request is considered by Gotham staff.
vHost Guidelines
a. vHost requests must have a dot. Only alphanumeric characters such as . and –
b. vHost cannot contain an @
c. vHost must include more than one word, separated by a . or –
d. vHost requested cannot be resolved, for example: facebook.com, google.com, etc..
e. Cannot use government organizations
f. No racist vHost
g. Cannot spam or advertise other networks
h. vHost cannot be longer than 63 characters long
i. Users can request 1 (one) vHost per month
j. vHost that impersonate IRC Operators will be rejected and user would be disconnected from our servers.
OFFERLIST
Command: /msg HostServ OFFERLIST
Lists all vHosts currently available from Gotham IRC Network.
TAKE
Command: /msg HostServ TAKE <vhost>
Allows you to set a vHost that the Gotham IRC Network has offered and use it on your account. If the string $account is in the vHost, it will be replaced with your account name.
Examples:
/msg HostServ TAKE $account.gotham.citizen
/msg HostServ TAKE Belle.gotham.citizen
ON
Command: /msg HostServ ON
Activates the vHost currently assigned to the nick in use. When you use this command any user who performs a /whois on you will see the vHost instead of your real IP address.
OFF
Command: /msg HostServ OFF
Deactivates the vHost currently assigned to the nick in use. When you use this command, any user who performs a /whois on your nick will see your real IP address.
For permanent removal of your vHost, please join #help
DROP
Command: /msg HostServ DROP
Drops (unsets) the vHost currently assigned to the nick in use. When you use this command, any user who performs a /whois on your nick will see your real IP address.
